Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Centre welcomes the new medical and nursing staff that joined our ranks to reinforce and help the current staff members to treat and serve the community’s growing needs.
Professor Eli Somech, Chairman of The Israeli Association of Paediatrics and a council member in European Association of Paediatrics, has been appointed as Director of Paediatric Services.
Professor Rephael Feinmesser, Director of the Department of Otolaryngology at Beilinson, has been appointed as Director of our Otolaryngology Unit.
Dr. Pnina Avramovitz, a senior psychiatrist with a rich clinical resume in many psychiatric centres and hospitals in Israel, has been appointed as Director of the newly opened Women Inpatient Department in our Mental Health Wing.
Dr. Ginady Bitman, a senior Urological-gynecology physician, has been appointed as Director of the Uro-gynecology Unit in our Maternity Ward.
Dr. Rephael Gery, senior consultant in Nephrology and Hypertension at Maccabi and Clallit HMO’s, has been appointed as Director of the Nephrology and Dialysis Department.
Dr. Peter Freedman, senior physician at the Otolaryngology Department in Shaarei Zedek and an arbiter in the social security and ministry of defense committees, has been appointed as Director of Head and Neck at the Otolaryngology Unit.
In addition to all these new senior professors and doctors, 14 experienced midwives and many nurses, head nurses and other nursing staff have joined the Mayanei Hayeshua in the last few weeks.
In the last week of November 2019, Professor Rael Strous, the South African-born medical director of Mayanei Hayeshua’s Mental Health Centre, and professor of psychiatry at Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Medicine, was in London for a busy round of meetings and events organised by the British Friends of Mayanei Hayeshua.
