Mrs. Zippy Bornstein, Administrator of Mayanei Hayeshua’s Mental Health Centre, was one of the expert panelists during the recent Women’s Health Conference.
Zippy explained: “Mental illnesses are all around us. We need to be the voice of all women who are trying so hard to cope with this. They need our help and support”.
According to Zippy, the issues of Mental Health have until now been muted. But the digital age has opened the floodgates and increased awareness multi-fold, and with it, the demand to be treated. Far too many women have waited at home for a very long time, as they didn’t think there was room to hospitalise them. This is why awareness is important.
Following the Panel session, the conference sponsors presented Mrs. Bornstein with a special certificate of appreciation for her dedicated work at Mayanei Hayeshua’s Mental Health Centre
In the last week of November 2019, Professor Rael Strous, the South African-born medical director of Mayanei Hayeshua’s Mental Health Centre, and professor of psychiatry at Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Medicine, was in London for a busy round of meetings and events organised by the British Friends of Mayanei Hayeshua.
